The God of New Beginning: Getting Started Afresh

Our God can start new things at any point in time_ days, months and years that we count and work with means nothing to the power of God to change situations. The book of Isaiah 43:18-19 says_ ‘Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I’ll do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.’ The voice of God is heard in this bible passage, assuring the Israelites of a new beginning. He was telling them not to remember their former oppression, but to look forward to the hope and bright future he had for them.

This is the same hope God is offering you today, He is offering you a new beginning. If He could give Lazarus, a man that was dead for four days, your case won’t be an exception. In the book of Mark 12, the woman with the issue of blood had spent all she had on medicines, but when she met Christ, she was made perfectly whole. That man, ill for thirty-eight years expected no saviour, but yet Christ attended to him and healed him.

1. God will give you New Life

John 10:10. Christ came to give us new life; therefore you have to believe him for it. Paul said in the book of Galatians that he had new life in Christ. But if you dearly want this new life, you have to give your life to Christ. The book of John chapter 1 tells us that life is in Jesus alone. Romans 6:23 also emphasizes this.
Jesus said_ “I am the way, the truth and the life.” John 14:6

2. New Relationship:

Ephesians 2: 19. We were all previously strangers to God, but when we surrender our lives to Christ, we gain a new relationship with God. Now that we are in Christ, there is no more condemnation for us. Romans 8:1.

3. New Family:

One of the major things we gain as far as our relationship with Christ is concerned is the privilege to become a family of God. One day, someone came to tell Jesus that his mother and relations were seeking Him. Jesus replied that those that were listening to His word were his family.

4. New Creature:

2cor 5:17. God is willing and ever ready to make you a new creature. Being a new creature means the old things of life have passed away. Your wars are gone, curses are gone, shame is gone_ and instead, you have glory in Christ Jesus.

5. New Things:

God is also ready to give you new things. This is in terms of material possessions, both visible and invisible. He is willing to give you a new house, car, job, home etc. He wants to give you joy, peace, prosperity, wealth and many others, if you would just yield to him.
