The Word of God is Everything part (2)

This is the second part of this message – The Word of God is Everything.

5. His word gives us hope:

Col 1:27_ “To whom God would make known what is then riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentile; which is Christ in you, the hope of Glory.

6. His word guides our feet

Psalms 199:105_ “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

7. His word gives Healing.

Psalm 107: 20a_ “He sent His word, and healed them….”

8. His word is Deliverance:

Psalm 107:20b_ “… and delivered them from their destructions.” The deliverance in the word of God is able to save from all oppressions, depressions, and even addictions

9. His word gives success:

God promised Joshua success if he would keep His word. It doesn’t matter if you are brilliant or the greatest of all dummies, if you would give his word a place in your life, you will have victory.

10. His word gives Prosperity

Psalm 1:1-3. There is true prosperity in the word of God.

11. His word gives Peace:

You should remember the story of Jesus and His disciples, when they were in the midst of the sea. Jesus stood up, pronounced his word, and it was all over.

What is your attitude to the word of God?

I want you to have a positive attitude to the word of God. Put your whole faith in the word of God. It was true Peter and his mates, professional fishermen, had worked all night, getting nothing. But as he, peter, harkened to the word of God, they caught thousands of fishes.

Reference the word of God

We fail to give reference to the word of God because we do not know the value of it. Because you have so many Bibles does not mean you should fill one with phone numbers. Stop jesting with the word of God, it isn’t funny.
Read, meditate and confess the word of God_ Joshua 1:8

Promptly obey the word:

Some of us love to argue with the word of God. If something is stated in the word of God, you don’t need to find another evidence to prove it. The word of God is to believe, not to rationalise.

In conclusion

Revelation 19:13 “And he was clothed with a venture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of GOD.” As front today, I want you to put all your faith in the word of God, everything you need is just therein. Your success is therein, you prosperity is therein, your fruitfulness is therein, your healing is therein, your liberation is therein, your salvation is therein… mention it? It is all therein.

Why don’t you promise God now that you will always abide by his word? Why don’t you give Him your word? Tell him to forgive you of your past ignorance; I believe He is ready to help you and teach you on the right way to treat His word.

Natural Theory of Law: merits and demerits

Natural Theory of Law

Natural law is a broad and often misapplied term.

It goes around various schools of thought in different disciplines like Philosophy, Science, Law, etc.

In the light of this fact, it is therefore crucial that a clear understanding about the subject-matter be gotten.

This includes the understanding of the keywords, ‘natural’ and ‘law’. So, this post is on the Natural theory of Law.

Natural theory of Law: Definition and meaning

Natural theory of law

Meaning of ‘Natural’ in Natural Law

The first word ‘natural’ (adj.) comes from the root word nature (noun).

We may define Nature as the innate characteristics of a thing, among other various definitions.

However, the definition of the second word, ‘law’, is a question that has agitated the minds of scholars and intellectuals over the years.

This is because the word is all-embracing in scope and dimension.

To read my blog post on the definitions and explanation of Law,click the link.

From my own view, which I submit and propose to be generally accepted, “a law is an expression, indicator or imposer of a consistent reality; proven or hypothetical, sanctioned or unsanctioned, true or mythical, harmonious or antagonistic.”

See also: Positive Theory of Law: Legal Positivism

As you should have noticed, this is a wide view approach. Nevertheless, as regards this subject matter, Law is taken as “an expression and indicator of a reality, sanctioned and enforced by a person, persons, body or institution.

From the foregoing, natural law theory is a legal theory that recognises law and morality with deep connections, if not one and the same.

Morality relates to what is right or wrong, good or bad, acceptable or unacceptable, permissible or impermissible.

NATURAL THEORY OF LAW: SIMPLIFIED MEANING

Natural law is a school of thought asserting that certain rights are inherent by virtue of human nature.

Endorsed by nature, traditionally by God or a transcendent source.

And that we can explain this universally through human reason.

Simply, Natural Law theorists, unlike promulgators of positive law, believe that we define human laws by morality, and not by an authority figure.

Meaning of Natural theory of Law

Natural theory of Law

Therefore, their human nature guide humans to figure out what their laws should be, and to act in conformity with those laws.

See also: Differences between Natural and Positive Theory of Law

Reduced to its simplest form, natural law means what is ‘fair’, ‘right’, or ‘just’. The protagonists of this theory of law include Zeno, Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, Thomas Aquinas, Grotius, and others.

They hold the primary view that there are certain objective principles in everyman, no matter his colour, race or tribe, that tells him what action or any form of act is right, fair and just.

These principles motivate him to do what is good and abstain from what is evil.

Words of Prof. Okuniga: Natural Theory of Law.

Professor Okuniga said in his own illustration. “If ten men from different countries are put in separate rooms, and each of them is asked in the language that he understands, whether it is good tom steal, majority will say no.”

In a nut shell, Natural law refers to the principles inherent to man, which tells him what is fair, good, impartial, right and just.

These principles should serve as the bases for the making of real life laws and orders. Any law made by anybody that is not in accordance to these intrinsic principles is not valid.

I once held_ “The discovery of the positive law is not a shift from the use of the natural law, rather, it is a designed, regular, and enforced reproduction of it.

The reason for positive law is merely to justify the application of natural law.

Hence, when we convict a man, we say to ourselves, “we have done justice,” apparently to satisfy our innate principles, natural law.

Natural law, since its emergence, has bred some major advantages above other schools of thought. Some of these advantages include:

Advantages of the Natural Theory of Law

  1. The development of the concept of equity, human rights, and democracy across the globe.
  2. It is based on reasoning, and not revelation – this allows making it possible for everyone to follow the principles.
  3. It is universal and absolutist; so it is always relevant.
  4. It allows for a clear cut approach to morality and establishes common rules.
  5. The Americans invoked it in their war of independence, as well as the French, during the French revolution.
Advantages & disadvantages of Natural theory of Law

Natural theory of Law

Disadvantages of the Natural Law Theory

However, Natural Theory of Law has its own undeniable disadvantages, and some of these are heighted below:

  1. It is not always a simple school of thought. The determination of what is right and what is sometimes as hard as anything.
  2. Natural law philosophy stresses ‘what ought to be done’ and not necessarily ‘what is done.’
  3. The theory is based solely on right reasoning, which is a criterion that cannot be verified through empirical scrutiny.
  4. There is what we call ‘the multiple-conscience problem.’ That is to say, different individuals have different explanations for, and determinations of, what is right and what is wrong. As regards this problem, we call the Natural Theory of Law ‘a harlot.’

The Spirit of Love: Loving your Lover

Introduction

Having a deep understanding of the mystery of Valentine is imperative for every living soul.

Although there are so many stories about the day out there, we aren’t concerned about where it originated from, but about how it influences our lives now.

The most blessed thing I love about valentine is the word ‘Love’. It is what ties up all things about everything.

And now?

When Jesus was talking about the greatest commandment he said_ “Thou shalt love the Lord you God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” Matt 22:37.

See also: Bible verses about Love

And he further said, the second greatest commandment is that we love our neighbours as ourselves. Haven’t you ever asked yourself why the two greatest commandments should be anchored on love? Simple! Because love bears all crosses; and it is therefore essential for us to possess as God’s people.

2 Timothy 1:7

“For God has not given us the Spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” The Scripture further explains that the term ‘Love’ in the sight of God, is not just an emotional feeling that ruminates in our heart, but a Spirit that may or may not be possessed.

The absence of this spirit in a man’s life produces ‘Fear’, which in like manner produces strife, wrath, sedition, adultery/fornication, treason, disobedience, conflict, crisis and even war.

Nevertheless, the book of 1 john 4:7 tells us that God Himself is Love, meaning that God in actual fact is the Spirit of Love. And if then we were made in the image of God, then we are meant to be Spirits of Love.

But how then did we get to lose this Spirit of ours? Very clear_ When the Devil deceived Adam and Eve, what died in them was the Spirit of Love.

The devil took away what should have held us as gods, and left us empty. And since then, man became ‘wicked’_ Cain killed Abel.

God’s Word

The Bible tells us again that to love God is to keep his commandment, (1john 2:5). But since the death of the Spirit of Love in Eden, the commandments of God became boring and useless to man, we could no longer keep them.

The ancient people of Israel were the ones God taught the most; yet, they couldn’t keep half of the law for just one day. Why? Love died. God provided Law to manage the situation of absence of Love, It didn’t work. If it didn’t then, it can’t now_ stop struggling with the law.

Yet, while we were sinners, the Spirit of Love came down to us in our likeness and died for us.

That we may, through his death and resurrection, no longer live as the spirit of love in ourselves_ but He, as the Spirit of Love, in us.

This is the essence of the suffering, crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ; that as many as would believe in him would be made perfect as Spirits of Love.

Think about It!

Aren’t you tired of struggling with your fears? Aren’t you sick of the killings and kidnappings here and there?

Weary about the things that are not working out well for you? – The Truth is- Jesus wants to reinstate you to your perfect state. He wants to give you beauty for ashes and the joy of gladness for mourning_ double for your shame.

But it all starts by receiving Him. John 1:12_ “But as many as received him, to them GAVE HE POWER to become the sons of God” So if you would receive him, he would give you the Spirit of Power, the Spirit of Sound mind, and, most importantly, THE SPIRIT OF LOVE.

The Word of God is Everything

The Trust

You must have noticed that the status of a man determines the trust you put in him and his word. Consider this; if a wealthy man in your neighbourhood meets you someday and promises that he would give you a million naira the following week_ you would not only believe him, but you would even start thanking him in advance.

But what if a poor man that has often depended on you for food promises you the same amount? Won’t you laugh so widely before you know he could get hurt?

His Word

So is God with his word. God is greater than the greatest man in the world today; the accumulation of the wealth of all the richest men in the world today means less than a penny to God. He is all powerful, all sufficient. You see, I do not fathom why we fail to believe him sometimes.

2 peter 3:5

“For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water.”

What God can do, his word can do. The book of John chapter 1 tells us of the existence of God and His word, confirming His word is everything and He. So, no matter the situation you are or the hardship you are experiencing today_ I beat my chest that His word is more than able to settle things for you.

God created all things through His word. Hebrews 11:3_ “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God…” It is crystal clear that everything we see and admire in the world today was created by God’s word. If his word could create the whole universe, it can change your life and transform situations for you. His word is inerrant, infallible and unchangeable.

Certain Deeds of His Word

1. His word reveals our Salvation_ 1 Peter 1:10-11. Since ages past, the Prophets of God has, through the Holy Spirit, prophesied of the salvation that was to come through Jesus Christ. Moreover, everything done by Jesus to save us is written in the word of God.

2. His word saved us_ 1 Peter 1:23_ “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” KJV.

3. His word sanctifies: John 15:3, 17:17. The word of God is all we need to be made clean. The truth we get from the word of God, helps us to live a life of sanctification and consecration.

4. We are kept by the word. Revelation 3:10. Jesus promised the church of Philadelphia that since they have kept His word with patience, he would also keep them from the hour of temptation.

Anointed For Supernatural Exploit

1 Samuel I6: 13

“Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from the day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

Have you ever wondered why some people in the Bible were able to walk so much in the realm of the supernatural? Do you know why some people have so much faith in God, even in the face of hardship and death? Have you gotten the secret to doing exploits? Many unanswered questions like these trouble our minds daily, and we get weary when we find no answer to them. The Bible however, being the solution to every situation, has provided us with all answers to our unanswered question. And one of these answers is that anointing is needed to do exploit.

There is no exploit without anointing.

The more anointed you are, the more victorious you will become. Act 1:8_ when we speak of anointing, we talk of the Holy Spirit. Whoever is thirsting for exploit should desire the anointing of God. From the very moment David was anointed, he began to do exploit. The first battle he fought was against Goliath, and he won awesomely. It is not by power not by might but by my spirit saith the Lord.

Judges 3: 8-11.

Othniel was able to conquer Chushanrishathaim and deliver the Israelites from their enemies because he possessed the Spirit of God, the anointing. Also in the book of Judges 6, Gideon did exploit and delivered the Israelite from the Midianites because the Spirit of the Lord was upon him. And so also was Samson. He enjoyed supernatural strength because the presence of the Lord was with him; he was full of the Holy Spirit, the anointing.

So if you really want to do exploit in this generation, you need to get the anointing, which is the Spirit of God. Without the presence of the Spirit of God, there is certainly no anointing, and no exploit.

However, the anointing upon a man’s life is not as important as the ability to keep it running. Many people are anointed, but only few people make it last as long as it should. Saul was anointed, and so was David. However, the anointing of Saul only lasted for less than a year, while that of David kept running for forty years.

The criteria that determine if the anointing on a man’s life would dry up or keep running are Obedience, Possessing the fear of the Lord, and Living a separated life. All these elements manifested fully in the life of David, as opposed to the life of Saul. It is better for you not to be anointed at all, than to lose the gotten anointing along the journey. God is interested in, not just those that will finish, but those that will finish well.

Conclusion

Therefore when you get the anointing, make every effort to add Obedience, the Fear of God, and a separated life. These were the factors that made Daniel, David, and many others, finish well.

The Holy Communion and Divine Intervention

Divine Intervention

What we refer to as ‘Divine intervention’ would not have been necessary if we, as men, can control and manage all situations we find ourselves in. However, so many things happen to us that is beyond our power and ability. Divine intervention is therefore the supernatural ability of God in attending to, and solving, situational problems of man.

The holy communion is one of the sacrament instituted by God for us to attain the fullness of the ministry of Christ. The Holy communion is not just meant to be eaten every first Sunday, or every last Sunday, but as many times as possible. Like 22: 78-20. It is also meant for the remembrance of what Christ did for us.

The shadow

As we should know, the Old Testament is given as a shadow for the new. So, the doctrine called the Holy Communion is not an exception. In the book of Exodus 12, the Lord explained to Moses how the Israelites should make themselves ready for the Passover. Therein, God analysed the significance of an Holy meal. The lamb without blemish that God asked them to take and use is Jesus himself.

This is confirmed by the words of John the Baptist in the new Testament. Jesus Christ is the original Lamb, the Lamb of God. Jesus is the only lamb without blemish, ready and worthy to pay the sacrifice for the cleansing of man. 2 Cor 5: 21. Jesus carried the sin of the world that we may all receive righteousness in him. 1 Pet 2:22-23. Well enough, the Israelites performed the Passover perfectly in the way of the Lord, and then they experienced Divine intervention. Divine Intervention Is for those that will perfectly follow the way of the Lord.

The Passover

The first male children of the Israelites found divine intervention, the women escaped tears of death. Even though the angel of death truly passed over them, nevertheless, they were not affected. The Israelites enjoyed a lot because of their obedience.

* They escaped premature death

* Got free from bondage Exodus 12:31-32
* Obtained unmerited favor. Exodus 12:35-36
* Started to enjoy divine presence. Exodus 13: 21-22
* They got victory over their enemies. Exodus 14:15-16

God is ever willing to grant us all these, if we would walk in the way of the Lord, keeping His commandments diligently. The blood the Lord gave the Israelites has been forever supplemented by the blood of Jesus Christ. Whoever will enjoy divine intervention from the Lord must live in Jesus Christ. Whoever is not living in Jesus Christ will be bruised by Satan. But if you take your stand in Jesus, then you are more than just a conqueror.

Conclusion

In conclusion, divine intervention is available for you, but you must obey His instructions, keep his commands and be rest assured that it is well with you.

Law: Definition, Meaning, Legal Meaning of Law

What is Law? Definition of Law

“A law is an expression, indicator, or imposer of a consistent reality.” I’ll get to explain this definition in a while. Still on Law definition and meaning.

Definitions are essential. Law definition and meaning is not an exception.

And before we begin any subject, we love to give a definition of the subject.

This allows us to have a clue about the subject, and its scope. So, before we talk about law, let’s define it.

This post is on the definition of law, meaning, and more. Yes, definitions of law and meaning.

Complications in Defining Law?

Like some other subjects, the term ‘Law‘ is somewhat hard to define.

This is so because the scope of the word is not even easily understood. People talk about Law from different angles.

We have scientific laws, laws in Economics, human laws, eternal laws, divine laws, natural laws etc.

The large scope of the word ‘law’ has made it difficulty, and nearly impossible to define.

So many people across many field have tried and failed to give an absolute definition to law.

In this post, I would share with you some of the given definitions. And then I’ll tell you about my own definition. Stay tuned.

Law definitions and meaning

Law with Scrabble

It should be of no astonishing effect to realise that the question of the definition for law is not a fascinating one to a practicing lawyer.

That is, a practising lawyer cares less about the definition of law. Well, this is not surprising.

What a lawyer would care about is what the law says about the particular situation of his client.

And possibly, how best to twist the wheel of justice to his side of the balance.

Lawyers care about ‘what does the law say about this’ and not really ‘what is law’.

Law: Meaning_Explanation

But even as insignificant as it may look, the quest for a rigid definition for law as followed us into our present age.

Like I said supra, so many people have tried to give a good to law.

The issue behind this quest is really a jigsaw because the word ‘Law’ is as all-embracing as it can get.

The word ‘Law’ may be as a general and loose term. And in another instance, a technical and professional terminology.

There is a saying, ‘Where there is no law, there is no crime.” Law is the bedrock of any society.

Families have laws, communities have laws, people have personal laws. The nation has a constitution – the foundation of all its laws, in most cases.

Laws are all around us, everywhere in different forms. So, a definition a person or group gives is often limited by many factors.

Law Definition and Meaning

How then do we fix this? The element of law is as old as man. I think the existence of man himself is an effect of a law-cause.

How can humans explain adequately through their senses a term that is in itself the root of their senses?

How can we define our definition?

If terms like economics, religion, philosophy etc., are difficult to define, what more can we say of law?

What really comes to our mind when we hear the word ‘Law’?

Some rules and regulations given by an authority, according to which our actions and inactions are determined?

Perhaps, some other terms like law of gravitation, identity, cosines, diminishing returns, double negation, excluded middle and energy, etc.

Whatever it is that comes to our mind, we can also give a definition to law, true and direct.

Defining law is a jigsaw, but jigsaws can be solved.

Some definitions of law

Let us consider some of these definitions.

According to The Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary -9th edition.

“Law is the whole system of rules that everyone in a country or society must obey.”

According to Merriam Webster Dictionary.

“Law is a binding custom or practice of a community. A rule of conduct or action prescribed or formally recognized as binding or enforced by a controlling authority.

What is Law: Meaning and Definition

The Gavel: Meaning of Law

The whole body of such customs, practices, or rules, and the control brought about by the existence or enforcement of such law.”

According to Herman Max Gluckman (1911-1975). Law is, “The whole reservoir of rules on which judges draw for their decisions.”

Prof. John W. Salmond (1862-1924), defines law as: “The body of principles recognized and applied by the state in the administration of justice.”

Let me go a step further in defining Law.

Law is a body of official rules and regulations, generally found in constitutions, legislation, judicial opinions, and the like, that is used to govern a society and to control the behaviour of its members. (Microsoft Encarta Premium 2009)

Also, according to Abiola Sanni, in ‘Introduction to Nigerian Legal Method’.

Law is, “a rule or body of rules made by institutions, bodies, and persons vested with the power to make such rules which are binding and enforced among the members of a given state or society.”

Meaning and Definitions of Law

These definitions, as far I can guess, should serve goodly for institutional purposes.

But to satisfy philosophical tendencies (if possible), let me explain to you my own definition of law.

After my Lecturer talked of the complications in defining law, as well as the failures, I began to think. And to God’s glory, I came up with this definition.

Pay close attention to this definition of law. It is not of the regular approaches at all.

“Law is an expression, indicator, or imposer of a consistent reality.”

This could be proven or hypothetical, sanctioned or unsanctioned, true or mythical, harmonious or antagonistic. In whatever way, it is still a Law.

Here, the word reality is anything that may be perceived by human senses, or subject to rational deliberation.

Let me explain.

A law may state that anything thrown up, unsuspended in space, must come down.

This is a law because it is an expression of a consistent reality. If you throw something up now, it comes down. If you throw it tomorrow, it would still fall. So, the result/reality is consistent, therefore it is a Law.

More on ‘what is Law?’ Law Definition and Meaning

Another example of law as an expression of a consistent reality is this. “When there is increase in price, there is decrease in quantity demanded, and vice versa.”

Law: Definition, Meaning, Explanation

Cars on street: Meaning of Law

This is the law of demand. Many other laws of like pattern can be used to explain this aspect of the definition.

The law that says, “He that is guilty of murder must also be killed,” is an imposer of a consistent reality.

The reality here is the death or punishment of the person that is guilty of such thing defined as murder.

If this law is followed, it is obeyed. It this law is not obeyed, it is abridged. In either way, it remains a law (perhaps, of the state.)

If the enactment ceases to command a consistent reality, then ‘it is’ no longer a law, but ‘it was’.

“Every metal affected by fire must turn hot.” This could be law, an expression of a consistent reality.

It seems one of the main attributes of a law is that it initiates a consistent reality.

Whenever this reality seizes to be consistent, then the law seizes to be a law. We may use the verb ‘was’ in such situations, as stated supra.

Most laws made by superior beings, superior bodies, or the state, are indicators and imposer of consistent realities.

I hope my definition is clear to you now.

Conclusion: Meaning and Definition of Law

There is no reason whatsoever to assert that this definition may not be defective in some sense and situations. I do not affirm that its 100% yet.

But until one of these situations is brought to my realisation and justified adequately with sufficient rational evidences, I guess this definition satisfies all propensities to be regarded as a reasonable all-embracing definition of LAW.

According to Professor Okuniga, nobody including the lawyer has given. Nobody including the lawyer is giving. And Nobody including the lawyer will ever be able to give a definition of law to end all definitions.

But we do rest our hopes on these word? For what lies behind and before us, are tiny matters to what lies within us. If you get my gist.

So, there you have the definitions and meaning of law.

I hope I’ve been able to help your research in someway, or increase your knowledge.

Thanks for reading. Leave a comment.

Travis Greene: Intentional Singer Biography, Childhood, Awards and Story

Travis Greene Biography

The Grammy and Stellar Award nominated artist, American gospel musician and Pastor, and the phenomenal vocalist of ‘Intentional’ and ‘Made a way’, Travis Montorius Greene, was born on the 17th of January, 1984. – Travis Greene biography.

He is the voice behind ‘Intentional – 2015’, ‘Made a way – 2016’, ‘You waited – 2017’, and others.

He is also a co-singer of the hit song ‘Nara- 2018’, alongside Tim Godfrey. The name of his wife is Jacqueline Gyamfi Greene.

Biography of Travis Greene

The biography of Travis Greene seems quite unbelievable.

He was declared dead twice while he was young, even before kindergarten.

The impact of his mother, Charleather Greene, also deserves to be talked about.

Travis Greene is a phenomenal American gospel singer, songwriter, musician and pastor. Still on Travis Greene biography.

He has, since his presence in the musical world, successfully changed the tone of gospel music.

To this effect, Kirk Franklin referred to him as one of those artists who are the future of gospel music.

Travis Greene Intentional

Travis Greene would say, “It’s not happening to you, it’s happening for you.”

He tells of the grace which he had himself received from God. And yes, his story speaks for itself, reverberating the place of grace, favour and hope in the misfortunes of life.

Travis Greene biography

The biography of Travis Greene is one of the most inspiring ones I have read. It’s so phenomenal.

The story of Travis Greene starts

Twice in his lifetime, Travis Greene has been pronounced dead, even before his entrance into kindergarten.

The first miraculous event occurred during the very birth of this music legend. Travis arrived on planet earth, still-born, and immediately they declared him dead.

But his mother, Minister Charleather Greene, raised her voiced and cried to God. God answered her prayers and brought Travis back to life. A big miracle it is in the biography of Travis Greene.

Travis puts this thus, during an interview with Jet Magazine, “When I was born, my mother said that I wasn’t breathing.

My skin colour was purple, and doctors immediately said that I was stillborn. My mother and father just started praying and believing God, and he performed a miracle.”

The miracle at his birth was the first Travis Greene had on earth. But this he cannot obviously give an accurate account of.

The second one was to Travis’s full knowledge, conscious and unconscious. Travis Greene profile on New Release Today speaks also.

Travis Greene Biography

Travis Greene

The second wonder: Biography of Travis Greene

At the age of four, Travis fell out of the window of the family’s fourth floor apartment located in Germany. His mother was told of Travis’ fall by an informant.

But before she could make it to the scene, a white sheet had already been pulled over her son’s face.

In his words, Travis said, “They (the rescue team) got my body and they covered me with white shirt. They said it was over (again) and the doctors pronounced me dead.”

Travis Greene Made a Way

(This song ‘Made a Way’ by Travis Greene was released in 2016. It went so viral that it became an anthem on the lips of singers.

It is about the mighty hand of God to save and make ways out of life troubles.

Once again, Travis’s mother picked up the lifeless body of her son. She cried out the name of Jesus over and over again until Travis came back to life.

“But then, my mother came, she picked up my lifeless body and prayed to God to give me my life. He did it.”

Biography of Travis Greene: The Experience

Notably, this incident happened in the natural world. But back then in the supernatural world was an occurrence that only Travis could tell us of.

When Travis fell from the window, he had an experience that he would never forget, and that we should always remember.

Taking this in Travis’ direct words, “I said mom I remember falling, but I never hit the ground. Right before I hit the ground, a man with a big hand caught me but I couldn’t see his face.

I heard a voice and he said, ‘Do you want to go with your mama?’ I looked at him and said I want my mom.

He said, ‘Okay, this time you are going, but next time, you will come with me.’ And I looked up I asked what his name wasHe looked back and said, ‘Son, my name is Jesus’.”

The story of Travis Greene continues

In 1989, Travis’ father died of an aneurysm, and then he became very zealous about music. In his words, “It was God’s way of giving me an escape from tragedy and crisis. I turned to the keyboard instead of to drugs and to the streets.

Any instrument I put my hands on I was able to play.” Travis Green participated in his mother’s ministry, and thereby got the opportunity to master more instruments, and apparently developed self-discovery.

While in college, a Pastor heard Travis sing and instantly named him worship leader.

Do not neglect your family: Their Nakedness, Your Nakedness

Neglecting your family for any reason can be very dangerous. This post speaks of one advice, that is, in all you do, do not neglect your family.

Why you should not neglect Your Family

After God had successfully brought out the Israelites from Egypt, He did have a hard time dealing with them.

The Bible refers to the people of Israel as stiff-necked people. All that mattered to them was food, water and their pleasure.

They took every possible opportunity they had to murmur against Moses and sin against God. They always did find pleasure in breaking God’s laws over and over again.

It wasn’t their fault anyway; they just couldn’t keep them (the laws). But out of these laws, there is a particular one that did touch my heart. Let me show you how much God cares about your family.

In Leviticus chapter 18: 7-10, God commanded the Israelites not to uncover the nakedness of their, father, mother, father’s wife, sister son’s daughter and daughter’s daughter.

“The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. 8. The nakedness of thy Father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father’s nakedness. 9. The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shall not uncover… for theirs is thy own nakedness.” (KJV)

The reason God gave for this, among others was_ ‘For theirs is thine own nakedness.’

Now, I know this law is about Fornication and Adultery, however, the Holy Spirit explained it to me in a more elaborate way.

Take responsibility For Your Family

Many believers today take off to Rome and forget their home. We neglect our families in the name of the gospel.

To worsen matters, we manipulate Jesus’ words to support our selfish interest. ‘A prophet has no honour in his home’ does not mean a prophet neglects it.

There is no Biblical reference that Jesus neglected his family members while preaching the gospel, they only found it hard to believe him.

Instead, it is clearly written in the Bible that Jesus committed his mother to the hands of one of his disciples when he was about to die, John 19: 26 -27.

“When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, woman, behold thy son. 27. Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.” (KJV)

Moreover, James, one of the brothers of Jesus, later became a strong upholder of the gospel. These all shows that Jesus never neglected his family.

We must all come to the realization that the nakedness of the people that the Lord has surrounded us with is our nakedness.

Your family is an integral part of your ministry, try to carry them along.

No one is saying you can’t do it alone, no one is saying you can’t go for a retreat, but do not neglect your family.

When Moses got his call, of course he left the land of Median alone, but do not forget that Jethro brought them (his wife and children) all back to him.

I do love Abraham; he sure did the right thing by getting his wife to follow him in his call. This does not in any way stop God from achieving His purpose.

Do not neglect Your kids, spouse, and other relatives

What profit has a man/woman, pastoring a successful church, and having a drunk for a son, or a prostitute for a daughter? Isn’t that a big slap on the face of Christ?

It all starts from the root. Always find a way to shows our family, spiritually and physically. When you pray, pray for them.

Those that require special attention, mention their name. Do not run away when they need something from you. Do not take your mother for a witch, or your father for a wizard.

Conclusion

Your family is your duty; if they fail, you fail. If they are poor, you are poor.

God won’t take his work as an excuse from you. Even if they are all darkness, then you be a light that shines in darkness.

They can’t kill you, millions of enemies can’t. Stop being scared and stand up to your responsibility. Arise and save your family, arise and help your destiny.

God understood the importance of having a family. He made Adam and Eve, and ordered them to be fruitful and multiply.

Once again, your family is your responsibility. And God has put in you the capacity to fulfil all that He wants you to. Remember, you can do all things through Christ your strength.

Do not let the enemy rejoice over your family, get down on your knees and start the battle. Do not be scared, for Christ has overcome the world.
